Miraculous Rescue: Two-Year-Old Boy Found Safe After Two Days in the Wilderness of Nawalparasi, Nepal
The recent true event of two-and-a-half-year-old Shivan Tamang being safely rescued from a forest in Gairidakot, Nawalparasi, Nepal, has touched the hearts of parents everywhere. Having a small child at home makes such real-life stories hit home instantly, making any parent's heart ache.
The boy went missing on Magh 2 (Bhadra 2, 2083), when he accidentally followed his grandmother into the dense jungle of Shankhadevi Community Forest (शंखदेवी सामुदायिक वन) located in Bhagar, Gairidakot Municipality-14. After an intense and harrowing search operation lasting nearly 50 hours by local residents, families, and security personnel from the Nepal Police, he was miraculously found safe and sound today on Bhadra 4, 2083 (August 20, 2026), near the source of the Bhagar stream.
Just imagining how that little boy spent those two days in the wilderness—hungry, thirsty, scared, and crying for his parents—sends chills down the spine. Yet, the relief of his safe return to his family after being trapped in the forest is immeasurable.
Incidents like this serve as a powerful reminder for us to be far more vigilant about the safety of our little ones. We must keep a close eye on our surroundings and immediately report any suspicious activities or individuals to the proper authorities to protect children in our society.
Wishing little Shivan a full recovery and a very bright future ahead!
